On April 2 the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA Kamo Tsutsulyan met with representatives from the United Nations World Food Program (UNWFP). Among those present were the RS Deputy Directors.

The meeting focused on discussing the prospects for enhancing cooperation, particularly regarding the preparedness programs developed by the UN. The conversation covered key directions proposed by the World Food Program, including the creation of mobile storage units, the development of staff capacities involved in these units and the improvement of methods for providing assistance during crisis situations.

The sides emphasized the importance of deepening sectoral cooperation and discussed opportunities for joint projects. Special attention was given to collaboration during earthquakes, with the World Food Program potentially playing a key role by providing rapid response and support systems.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to establish a joint working group to make cooperation in disaster risk management more effective.
