Development of stress response and mental balance skills: professional training at the Rescue Service

On October 13, the Psychological Assistance and Medical Care Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs organized a training session focused on conflict resolution, stress resilience, and self-regulation skill development. The purpose of the training was to strengthen psychological preparedness of the participants and their ability to operate effectively in stressful situations.

The session was conducted by Ph.D. in Science from Long Island University (USA), representative of MeaningfulWorld at the United Nations and psychotherapist Dr. Ani Kalayjian and professor at Fordham University (New York), Co-founder and Executive Director of the Armenian Behavioral Science Association Dr. Harold Takooshian.

The participants were introduced to the clinical manifestations of stress and emotional tension, their psychological and medical consequences and the tools for appropriate response in such circumstances.

The training aimed not only to enhance professional knowledge and skills but also to raise awareness of the importance of mental health, which enables more effective public service performance in high-risk environments.

During the training, representatives from various divisions of the Rescue Service and the Educational Complex of the MIA participated in both theoretical and practical exercises, acquiring skills to maintain psychological balance and respond appropriately in stressful situations.

Such initiatives by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs highlight the commitment of the system and consistent attention to the well-being and mental health of its employees.

The training was conducted under the theme “The seven-step integrative healing model”.
