Departments of the Rescue Service of MIA are continuing extensive public awareness campaigns focused on fire prevention and safety measures

According to the order of the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of RA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan, measures aimed at monitoring possible fire-threatening situations in forests and vegetated areas, fire prevention, quick response, fighting against fires, their spread, as well as elimination of their consequences for the purpose of implementation, large-scale public awareness activities are ongoing in the territory of the Republic.

Public awareness activities were primarily conducted in recreational and tourist areas, where citizens often spend time in nature. During these activities, rescuers used drones and loudspeakers to disseminate information.

Within the framework of the events, with the operative groups of Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments, the fire units of the Fire and Rescue Squads, as well as alongside the employees of branches of "Hayantar" SNCO of the Ministry of Environment were conducted fire situation monitoring, awareness campaigns, and anti-fire propaganda activities.

As of August 18, 629 working groups were created in the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, of which 584 of the units of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and 45 were jointly with "Hayantar" SNCO.

1385 rescuers were involved in awareness activities. The Ministry of Internal Affairs departments used loudspeakers and drones to spread awareness across 4,702 sites, including public places and forest areas. Additionally, 4,969 posters promoting compliance with fire safety rules were posted in crowded locations.

Simultaneously, to ensure a rapid response to potential fires in public recreation and forest areas, 106 fire units were stationed at pre-designated locations mainly with the involvement of all-terrain vehicles.

Approximately 1,218 leaflets were distributed as part of the awareness activities in order to increase the awareness of the population.

The mentioned complex measures are permanent to prevent potential fire-threatening situations in the Republic.
