Delegation led by the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan undertook an official visit to Georgia

The delegation led by the Director of RS-Deputy Minister of IA, r/s Major General Kamo Tsutsulyan conducted an official visit to Georgia from October 22 to 24.
The delegation included the RS Deputy Director of the MIA Tigran Petrosyan and the Head of the Operational Shift of the Operational Shift Division of the Crisis Management National Center Garri Armaghanyan.
Kamo Tsutsulyan held meetings in Tbilisi with the Resident Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Junji Wakui and the Director of the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Temur Mgebrishvili.
During the meeting with the Resident Representative of the JICA, programs implemented between the Republic of Armenia and JICA were discussed.
They also discussed three new areas of cooperation, specifically the modernization of radio communication, the acquisition of rescue equipment for Yerevan city and the procurement of heavy engineering equipment for responding to major disasters.
Junji Wakui highlighted that the agency was interested in permanent collaboration and the proposed programs will be presented to the leadership of the agency and the government of Japan. He also highlighted that a main strategy purpose of the agency is disaster risk reduction programs performance. Mr. Wakui emphasized deepening international cooperation in this field and proposed expanding the scope of joint programs to include training and exchange programs for experts. He specifically mentioned the possibility of organizing training courses in Japan as an effective mechanism for acquiring new skills and exchanging international experience.
Agreement was reached to continue contacts regarding the discussion of new programs.
During the meeting with Temur Mgebrishvili, the Director of the Emergency Management Agency of the MIA of Georgia, discussions focused on experience exchange and organizing joint actions between the relevant services of the two countries. Agreement was also reached to hold a joint field exercise in Armenia following the standards of the UN International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) in 2025, which will strengthen cooperation between the two countries in effective emergency response.
