On May 21, at 16։02 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that fishing gear and personal belongings of two citizens engaged in fishing had been found on the shore of a river near Mets Masrik village.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the dead body of one of the citizens had been pulled out of Masrik River by the local forces.

The rescuers implemented search operations for the other citizen. The dead body of the second citizen was found 500 meters away and pulled out of the water. The ambulance personal pronounced the biological death of the citizens.
