On October 24, a table-top exercise was held in Hrazdan community on "Organization of population protection measures in case of a strong earthquake" employees of the Rescue Service and the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ambulance, regional and community services and relevant organizations participated.

During the exercise, a scenario of an earthquake with a magnitude of 6-7 was played out, which was preceded by a discussion of the measures to be taken by the participants according to their areas of activity.

In the practical part, evacuation of conditional casualties, extraction from rubble, fire extinguishing, lowering people from different floors of buildings using special rescue equipment, first aid and emergency disaster recovery activity were implemented.

The purpose of the exercise was to test the abilities of the participants in making decisions on population protection measures in case of a strong earthquake and to improve practical skills during search and rescue and emergency disaster recovery operations, as well as to develop and strengthen cooperation with state government bodies, local self-government bodies, relevant services and organizations.

The exercise once again demonstrated that coordinated actions, trained personnel and effective cooperation make it possible to successfully manage the most complex crises and ensure the safety and population protection.
