Continuous professional development of rescuers is one of the priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Guided by the requirements stemming from the functions of the Rescue Service—such as disaster risk reduction, rescue of people and material assets during emergencies, and mitigation and elimination of disaster consequences—the Ministry of Internal Affairs places high importance not only on the continuous professional development of rescuers but also on the existence of a clear system for evaluating that progress.

To this end, a regular qualification process was recently conducted for the staff of Armavir and Syunik Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service. Within this framework, the professional knowledge, practical skills, work experience, and situational awareness abilities of the personnel were thoroughly assessed. The process was carried out under the strict supervision of a professional commission, adhering to the principles of transparency, fairness, and objectivity.

This qualification grading system not only encourages continuous self-improvement among the personnel but also represents a crucial step toward the development and modernization of the Rescue Service. It aims to build a more professional, competitive, and highly responsive system.

As a result of the qualification process, participating rescue service employees were awarded qualification grades, some were promoted, while others reaffirmed their current grades.

Volunteer firefighter-rescuers from Armavir and Syunik provinces, who demonstrated their readiness and capabilities in the field of disaster prevention and emergency response, also took part in the process and were awarded the "Rescuer" qualification grade.
