Collapse in Arinj village

On March 15, at 02:14 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that floor of a house had partially collapsed (there was a risk of a double collapse) on Dzagavank Street in Arinj village of Kotayk province: there were no casualties and the rescuers' help was needed to get the citizen inside out.

The operative group of Regional Rescue Department, one fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department and the rescue group from Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of Rescue Forces Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that the main reinforced concrete load-bearing constructions (40 square meters) of the 2nd floor of the two-storey house were partially collapsed: there was a risk of a second collapse and the unwell citizen was in the weakened part of the collapsed floor. 

The rescuers blocked off the scene, carried out reinforcement activities on the weakened part and moved the citizen to a safe area.
