Collapse on Shirak Street of Yerevan: Rescue Service subdivisions were dispatched to the scene

On December 1, at 10:12 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that the exterior wall of a non-operating piano factory on Shirak Street of Yerevan has collapsed.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department, the operative group from Crisis Management National Center the rescue group from Center for Carrying out Activities of Special Importance of Rescue Forces Department and the groups on duty from Management Divisions from Firefighting and Rescue Activities of Yerevan Rescue and Rescue Forces Departments of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that a three-story building on Shirak Street partially collapsed, with each floor approximately 430 square meters (served as storage, production, and office spaces): there was a gas leak.

One casualty was hospitalized at a medical center.

Rescuers stopped the gas leak, blocked off the scene, and carried out washing operations of the road section.
