Chain-reaction car accident in Marmarashen village

On December 29, at 08:28 an emergency call was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that chain-reaction car accident had occurred near Marmarashen village on Artashat-Yerevan roadway: the rescuers' help was needed.

Two fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched.

It turned out that about 50 cars collided on Artashat-Yerevan roadway in the administrative territory of Marmarashen village, as a result of which a gas pipeline passing nearby was damaged. There was a leak.

“Mercedes-Benz” car hit H. A. (born in 1979), who died on the spot.

The casualties N. S. (born in 2004), V. S. (born in 2004), S. Z. (born in 2006), A. M. (born in 1994) and N. E. (born in 2006) were hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of about 20 cars, carried out washing activity on the roadway and moved the dead body of H. A. to the mortuary vehicle.

The gas emergency service personnel stopped the leak.
