Yerevan Rescue Department conducted civil defense activities

As part of civil defense measures, the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service conducted lectures, seminar-training sessions and special tactical drills in several educational institutions of the capital.

Specifically, lectures and seminar-training sessions on "Implementation of Civil Defense Measures During a Sudden Enemy Attack" and “Actions of staff and pupils in case of an “Air-raid” warning siren were organized and conducted in "Yerevan H. Tumanyan Basic School No. 32", "Yerevan S. Zoryan Basic School No. 56", "Yerevan D. Sarapyan Basic School No. 100", "Yerevan N. Mets Basic School No. 124", "Yerevan S. Byurat Basic School No. 125", "Yerevan Basic School No. 174", "Yerevan Secondary School No. 175", “Yerevan Basic School No. 186", “Yerevan Basic School No. 194 named after A. Hovhannisyan” SNCOs.

Additionally, similar activities were held in the kindergartens such as “Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 8", “Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 62", “Yerevan Nursery and Kindergarten No. 121" SNPOs.

A special tactical drill on the same topics was conducted at "Usum" comprehensive school, aiming to enhance participants' preparedness and practical skills.

The purpose of the lectures was to promote coordinated actions in crisis situations and prevent panic while simultaneously improving resilience and safety levels, as well as fostering a defensive mindset among citizens.

These efforts play a crucial role in enhancing security and ensuring public awareness. In case of an "Air-raid" warning siren or a sudden enemy attack, proper actions can save lives and minimize damage.

Civil defense activities, especially in educational institutions an important to raise public safety levels and ensure the coordinated implementation of appropriate actions during crises.

Participants were provided with thematic flyers on emergency behavior guidelines, aiming to equip students and staff with essential knowledge and skills, thereby increasing public awareness and preparedness.

As part of the events, Rescue Service personnel also distributed awareness flyers in crowded areas of the city.
