On August 28, at 17։26 an emergency call was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred in the administrative territory of Taperakan village: two cars collided and there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Volkswagen” and “Opel” cars collided in the administrative territory of the village of Shahumyan at the 30th km of Yerevan-Meghri roadway: the passenger of the latter died on the spot.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the passenger of “Volkswagen” car had been taken out of the car by the local forces and taken to a medical center, where his death was recorded.

The rescuers used special equipment to remove the driver from “Volkswagen” car and moved to the ambulance: the casualty died on the way to hospitalization.

The rescuers closed the gas cylinder valve of “Opel” car and moved the passenger’s dead body to the mortuary vehicle. The driver was taken to a medical center.
