On August 9, at 21։15 an emergency call was received to Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near the supermarket in Tsovagyugh village: there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad and the operative group from Water Rescue Squad of Gegharkunik Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "UAZ" and "Opel" cars collided on the 72nd km of Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway.

The drivers and five passengers were taken to medical centers.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
