On December 31, at 18:45 an emergency call was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car had been on fire on Gavar-Karmirgyugh roadway. 

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that "Toyota" (driver A. M.) and "Mercedes-Benz" (driver S. G. born in 1987) cars collided near the 1st km of Gavar-Karmirgyugh roadway. A fire broke out in "Toyota" car.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of "Mercedes-Benz" car had been taken to a medical center.

The fire was localized at 19:02 and extinguished at 19:05. The electrical cables in the engine part of “Toyota” car were burnt.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
