On January 14, at 04։08 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that car accident had occurred on Artashat highway of Yerevan city: cars collided, there were casualties and there was a fuel leak.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Yerevan Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Mercedes-Benz” and “VAZ” cars collided. There was a gas leak from “VAZ” car.

The driver of “VAZ” car was hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers closed the gas valves of “VAZ” and “Mercedes-Benz” cars, disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars, and then stopped the gas leak from “VAZ” car.
