On January 7, at 04։46 information was received to Syunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near the tunnel on Kapan-Yerevan roadway: there were casualties: the rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Nissan” car and “Foton” truck with a trailer collided near the tunnel on Spandaryan Street in Kapan, the roadway was two-way closed.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver of “Nissan” car had been hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries of the cars and closed the gas valves of “Nissan” car.
