On September 18, at 13։52 an emergency call was received to Lori Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near Shirakamut village: the rescuers' help was needed.

One fire unit from Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that “Volkswagen” and “Toyota” cars collided near the 13th km of Spitak-Gyumri roadway.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, three passengers of “Volkswagen” car had been taken to a medical center, where doctors pronounced one of them dead.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive batteries and closed the gas valves of the cars.
