On January 6, at 09:18 information was received to Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center that car accident had occurred near Dilijan tunnel: there were casualties.

One fire unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that “Opel” car (driver T. Kh. born in 1970) ran off the roadway and fell into a gorge (about 20 meters) on the 79th km of Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan roadway.

The passengers N. Kh. (born in 2018), N. E. (born in 1983) and G. Kh. (born in 1955) were hospitalized in a medical center.

The rescuers disconnected the automotive battery and the gas valve of the car, transferred the driver to a medical center.

The special equipment was needed to remove the car from the gorge.
