On May 2, at 18:01 an emergency call was received at the Shirak Regional Operational Management Center reporting that an RTA had occurred in Artik City: rescuers’ assistance was required.

One fire-rescue unit from the Fire and Rescue Squad of the Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA was dispatched to the scene. 

It turned out that at the crossroads from Artik City to Nahapetavan Village, a GAZ vehicle ran off the roadway and crashed into a nearby stone wall. Approximately 14 square meters of the wall were damaged, and the driver died at the scene.

Before rescuers arrived at the scene, the driver’s body had been removed from the vehicle by local forces.

Rescuers disconnected the vehicle from power supply and shut off the gas cylinder valve.
