Being prepared for emergencies: Rescue Service has conducted a series of educational programs
The MIA Rescue Service continuously carries out educational and training activities aimed at increasing the population's resilience during emergency situations.
Courses on "Fundamentals of the impact of hazardous natural phenomena" have been held at educational institutions in a number of regions. The rules for using warning signals and methods of response in risk situations were also presented.
Subunits of the Rescue Service actively participated in the program titled "Know Your School: Safe Entry and Exit." At schools across various regions of the Republic, students and teachers became familiarized with the basic rules of safe navigation, proper movement, and conduct during emergency situations within educational institutions.
Practical sessions on the topic of "Warning, Sheltering, and Evacuation" were organized in numerous communities, with the actual activation of civil defense sirens.
During the exercises, evacuation drills simulating real conditions were organized for school staff and students, reinforcing the practical preparedness of the population.
Special tactical exercises were also conducted, covering fire and explosion hazardous, public, and residential facilities. During the exercises, the theoretical and practical skills of firefighters and rescuers were also improved, and the readiness of units and the tactics of command personnel were assessed.
Special exercises were held with the management of road organizations regarding the extraction of vehicles blocked as a result of snowstorms.
Volunteer fire and rescue squads demonstrated their firefighting, evacuation, and first aid skills.
The courses covered the specifics of floods, hazards arising from the burning of grass in fields and gardens, the organization of evacuation during earthquakes, and compliance with safety regulations.
These multilayered and systematic programs implemented by the Rescue Service not only enhance citizens' preparedness in emergency situations, but also strengthen public trust in the Rescue Service.
In this context, the rescue service–society connection is also reinforced, the professional skills of firefighters and rescuers are improved, and the level of public safety is raised.
