On March 4, at 16:39 an emergency call was received to Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center that explosion had occurred at a gas station near Aygavan village.

Four fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department and the operative group of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

It turned out that an explosion with fire occurred at a liquefied gas filling station on Davtyan Street in Aygavan village.

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, three casualties were moved to medical center.

The fire was extinguished at 18:07.

One 500-liter water container, 8 20-liter containers, a terminal, furniture and household items, the ceiling (about 40 square meters), electrical cables (about 500 meters), an advertising board burnt, and "RAV4", "Infiniti" cars parked nearby were partially damaged by the heat.

As a result of the explosion, the walls of the gas station building partially collapsed (about 60 square meters), the structures of the roof (about 200 square meters) and the suspended ceiling (about 100 square meters) were damaged․
