Activities continued to eliminate the results of accidents registered due to strong winds in Aparan town
On June 16, the Rescue Service units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of RA continued the activities to eliminate the results of accidents in Aparan town due to the strong winds occurred on June 15.
A total of 205 Rescue Service personnel participated in emergency recovery and technical operations. The activity was conducted intensively in Aparan town and Lusagyugh village. The rescuers dismantled and removed dangerously hanging metal sheets and constructions of the roofs, as well as cut and cleared damaged trees. In collaboration with electrical network specialists, damaged electric poles were dismantled.
According to information received from Aparan Municipality, the strong wind damaged approximately 140 residential houses and garages, 20 shops, the roofs of 20 apartment buildings and 17 organizations, 34 vehicles, around 200 trees, 60 electric poles, 50 streetlight poles and 15 solar power stations.
The activities continued in full scale, aiming to eliminate the results of the natural disaster and restore normal living conditions for the population.
