Rescuers conducted a special tactical training exercise at Dramatic Theater of Abovyan

On June 18, the employees of Abovyan Fire and Rescue Squad and Kotayk Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA conducted a special tactical exercise at Dramatic Theater of Abovyan cultural institution on "Organizing and implementing fire extinguishing and evacuation activities in case of a fire in the theater building."
The purpose of the exercise was to assist in the development of the tactical thinking of the command staff and improve the ability to manage forces and resources during fires, as well as to test and improve the cooperation between Abovyan Fire and Rescue Squad and the personnel of "Dramatic Theater of Abovyan" cultural institution.
According to the exercise scenario, a simulated fire broke out in the theater building. After receiving the emergency call, the forces and resources of Abovyan fire and rescue squad dispatched to the scene. Before the arrival of the rescuers, the institution's staff evacuated people and extinguished the simulated fire using basic fire extinguishing equipment.
After assessing the situation, a combat rediness was implemented, a gas and carbon protection unit was formed, firefighting operations were organized, as well as search operations, evacuation and first aid for people conditionally remaining in the building.
During the exercise, the effectiveness of cooperation, skills in managing forces and resources, as well as the ability to act quickly and systematically in emergency situations were tested.
During the summary, it was noted that the personnel of Abovyan Fire and Rescue Squad demonstrated sufficient training, high professional skills and the ability to effectively perform the tasks assigned. The individual shortcomings recorded during the exercise were also discussed, and appropriate instructions were given to eliminate them and further improve professional capabilities.
Such events, regularly organized by the Rescue Service, play an important role in ensuring coordinated and effective actions in emergency situations, as well as in the continuous development of the professional skills of rescuers.
