On January 19, at 19:00 an emergency call was received to Crisis Management National Center that grassland had been on fire in Dzorastan village of Syunik province.

Six fire units from the Fire and Rescue Squads of Regional Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene.

The fire was localized at 22:11 and extinguished at 23:15. About 15 ha of vegetation were burnt.
Rescuers prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby forest and the village of Dzorastan.

29 rescuers, 2 forestry employees and 5 eco-patrol service employees participated in the firefighting operations.
