10 emergency incidents reported due to strong wind – rescuers responded to all emergency calls and provided assistance
On July 15, starting from 18:08, emergency calls were received to the National and Regional Crisis Management Centers reporting that strong winds had caused various incidents in Yerevan city, Gyumri, Ijevan, Vanadzor, Spitak, Tashir, and Tumanyan towns. The calls reported fallen trees, damaged roof sheets, and a risk of metal stage structures collapsing, requiring the assistance of rescuers.
Fire and Rescue Squads of Yerevan and Regional Rescue Departments of the Rescue Service of the MIA of RA dispatched to the scene. The rescuers carried out tasks such as cutting and removing fallen trees, securing loosened roofing sheets, and preventing the collapse of metal structures.
A total of 10 emergency incidents were recorded due to the strong winds: 1 in Yerevan city, 1 in Shirak province, 4 in Tavush province, and 4 in Lori province. The rescuers responded to all emergency calls and provided the appropriate assistance.
